Recommendation: Hot Spring (温泉）

1.       Jigokudani Onsen (Nagano Prefecture)

This hot spring is famous because of the cute and smart creatures, they are snow monkeys. You will be able to enjoy dipping in the hot spring while looking at the snow monkeys enjoying it too. 2.       Kawayu Onsen (Wakayama Prefecture)

For those who want to enjoy the hot spring which they choose themselves, then here’s the right place for you. The unique thing about this place is that you get to dig anywhere along the river to enjoy the hot bath.  3.       Ice Onsen (Shikaribetsu Lake, Hokkaido)


This place has a village on the frozen lake. Here, you can enjoy igloos, ice bars, and ice onsen. You can even wear your bathing robes or swimsuits here, as written in https://trip101.com/article/where-is-the-onsen-with-monkeys-quirky-onsens-to-enjoy-in-japan.  Even though the outdoor onsen is freezing cold, once you take a dip in the indoor hot spring, you will be warmed up soon enough.     I would like to go to Ice Onsen. Because it's so interesting, we can feel the warmth of the onsen and we can also feel cold when we get up from onsen.

    Ice onsen would be great but kind of scared to get a cold after that hahahahha
    And have an onsen with a monkey is a big NO for me right now because one thing and another

    Very interesting, especially the one with the Monkeys. I wonder if can bring a camera with me there. Also, it would be nice if you include the price of admission.
